Podiums and medal ceremonies

Check the podiums of each division grouped by ceremony, show the places on the venue screen and print the speaker sheet.

Quick answer

In Results, the Podiums tab groups each division by its medal ceremony. From there you show the places on a venue screen, from the bottom up, and print the speaker sheet.

This guide is for the competition organiser. It explains where the podiums are shown, how to read each card, how to show the places on a venue screen and what the speaker sheet contains.

Before you start

  • Podiums come from the scores. A division that does not have all its scores appears as provisional. See Review, correct and publish the results.
  • Medal ceremonies come from the published rotation. Without a rotation, the divisions are listed in order and there are no ceremony groups. See Publish the rotation and notify the clubs.
  • To control a screen, the browser must allow pop-ups for this page and support communication between windows.

Step by step

1. Open the Podiums tab

Select Results in the panel bar, then the Podiums tab, next to Ranking.

The left column, Ceremonies and divisions, groups the divisions by medal ceremony. Each group shows the ceremony title, its time and the number of divisions it contains. At the bottom, No ceremony assigned collects the divisions that have no ceremony in the rotation.

Each division shows its number of gymnasts, teams or entries and its status:

  • Ready: it has all its scores.
  • N score missing or N scores missing: scores still need to be entered.
  • On the floor: it is competing.
  • Tomorrow, or the day of the week of its ceremony, when it has not started yet. Pending if it has no ceremony.

2. Read the card for each division

The header shows the medal ceremony with its title, the day and the time.

Each card has the division name, its official view, such as Rope + Ball, and its status:

  • Published · vN: what is published matches the current scores.
  • Final · not yet published: the division is complete, but its latest scores are not published.
  • provisional until the last score: scores still need to be entered or corrected.

The Show 3 and Show 6 chips show how many places are visible on the card and on the screen. By default, 3 are shown. The choice is remembered in this browser and is not saved on the server.

Each row shows the medal for places 1 to 3, the place, the bib, the name, the club and the total. If a row wins a tie-break, Tie-break on E, Tie-break on A or Tie-break on D appears under its total; the row that loses the tie-break does not show it. If two entries share a place, Tied appears and the next place is skipped: two silvers and no bronze.

If the division is scored by exercise and has more than one, there is one card per exercise. In team routines by passes, each card shows its pass.

3. Show the places on the screen

Select Show on screen in the header. A window opens with the first view of the selected division. If the division has more than one view, each card also has its own Show on screen button.

The window opens in the same browser and on the same device: the panel sends it the data without going through the server. It does not fetch data or ask for a session. Put it into full screen from the browser for the projector or television.

When you show a view, the screen first displays the ceremony title, the division and the view, without places. Select Reveal the next place to uncover them from the bottom up: first the lowest place, and the first place last.

In the Screen block you can see whether the window is open, with Screen connected or Open the screen to control it from here. It also says whether the screen shows names: Names are shown too or Only bib, club and division: names are hidden. Names only appear if the call-up has Names in the running order switched on.

Next division selects the division that comes after the current one in the list and sends its first view to the screen, with the ceremony and division titles but without places revealed. It moves on to the next division in the same ceremony and, if the current one is the last in its ceremony, to the first division of the following ceremony. On the last division in the list the button is disabled, and also when the browser cannot control a screen. To reveal its places, use Reveal the next place.

4. Print the speaker sheet

Select Speaker sheet in the header to open it above the cards. Select it again to close it.

The sheet covers each division and view of the selected ceremony, with the visible places (3 or 6) from last to first. The columns are Place, Bib, Name, Club and Total. Ties are marked Tied.

The sheet always includes names, because it is a private document for the organiser. If any division in the ceremony is not ready, Provisional appears at the foot, next to Generated at and the time. If a view has no visible places, its block says This ceremony has no places yet.

Select Print to open the print dialogue. The sheet is set up for A4 portrait paper.

5. Check the podium on the notes desk

The venue’s notes desk can calculate the same podium with its local scores, from the View podium row in the queue. In that case the podium is provisional until the scores are uploaded. See Enter scores at the venue with the notes desk.

If something goes wrong

  • There are no divisions in this competition yet.: create the divisions before publishing the rotation. See Categories, levels and divisions of the competition.
  • No published rotation: the divisions are listed in order, without ceremonies.: publish the rotation to see the ceremonies.
  • N score missing: enter the missing scores. Until then, the division is not ready and its card stays provisional.
  • The browser blocked the window. Allow pop-ups for this page.: allow pop-ups and select Show on screen again.
  • This browser cannot control a screen.: the browser does not support communication between windows. Use another browser.
  • The screen shows Waiting for the podium: you have not yet sent it any view. Select Show on screen.
  • The screen does not show names: the call-up does not have Names in the running order switched on.
